Tuition for the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Seminar is $125 per person which includes student notebook, lunch, and snacks.  Please sign up by June 10th, as seating is limited!

Instructor:

Lora Epperly is the Director of Business Development and Care Innovations for Commonwealth Care of Roanoke, Inc. (CCR).  Ms. Epperly has significant experience in the long-term care, acute care and home care settings, corporate health and benefits arena, having been an RN for 41 years.  She has experience on a personal level as well as professionally in caring for persons with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Lora holds certifications as Dementia Care Practitioner, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, and Certified First Responder Dementia Trainer.  She is very passionate about the quality of life of people with dementia and the education of caregivers for these people.

Continuing Education:

Commonwealth Care of Roanoke (CCR) is a Certified Sponsor of professional continuing education with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners and International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners for members holding certifications as CDP, CDCM, and CADDCT. CEUs can be earned by attending sessions at Chase City Health & Rehab’s Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Seminar on either June 25 or June 26. Conference participants will be eligible to receive up to 7 CEUs.
