Visitation Update: November 23rd, 2021

Posted on:

Dear Patients and Families:

As you may be aware, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) provided updated visitation guidance for nursing homes on November 12, 2021. This guidance allows nursing homes more flexibility with visitation while continuing to adhere to core infection control principles to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We ask that you read the important information below regarding changes to visitation in the Center:

  • Visiting hours are from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm daily, although patients may receive visitors at any time. These hours will allow our staff to provide essential patient care apart from visiting hours.
  • Due to patient room size and in keeping with infection control practices, we prefer to have no more than two visitors in a patient’s rooms at one time.
  • If three or more visitors would like to visit together, please notify the Center in advance so that we may accommodate your request. Larger rooms will need to be reserved for a scheduled time to allow other families the opportunity to visit with their loved one, as well. The Center lobby may also be used for visitation with advance notice.
  • Visitors will continue to be screened in the Center lobby and receive education on and comply with core infection control principles. Testing will continue to be available to visitors who are visiting with their loved one that day.
  • Visitors should go directly to the patient’s room or alternative meeting location and not wander through the Center.

With the holidays approaching, we are pleased to share these visitation changes with you. As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Sincerely,

Robin Parrott, LNHA
