Resident Visitation

Posted on:

Resident safety is a top priority for Chase City Health & Rehab Center. The spread of COVID-19 is a critical issue that demands our attention and compliance with directions issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Virginia Department of Health and CMS. Our goal is to do everything we can to keep the virus out of our Center and if it is found in the Center, to minimize the spread to anyone else. We currently do not have anyone in our center with COVID-19 or suspected of having COVID-19. We are relying on local, state and federal resources to help prevent the spread of this virus. We are following Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Guidance for Infection Control and Prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Nursing Homes. (Ref:QSO-20-14-NH). https://www.cms.gov/files/document/3-13-2020-nursing-home-guidance-covid-19.pdf

Specifically related to visitation we will be enacting the following restriction in this Center based on CMS directives and the National State of Emergency:  NO VISITATION in the Center will be allowed unless the patient is facing end of life.  Such visitation will be addressed on a case by case basis and if permitted, will require screening and protective equipment.

We will facilitate communication between you and your loved one by phone or virtual technology as you request.

We appreciate your patience as we strive to keep our patients, staff, and visitors safe from COVID-19.

This is a fluid situation and we will update you as soon as we are able to lift restrictions.
