2019 Holiday Recap

Posted on:

As the holiday season winds down, we would like to share how we celebrated. We started things off with our annual Thanksgiving dinner with our families and patients and residents. There was so much food! We want to thank our dietary department for the wonderful meal they prepared!

Once Thanksgiving came to an end, it was time for the Christmas season.  Each year, we ask our community, staff, and families to help us give our residents and patients a wonderful Christmas.   This is such a great event and shows how generous our community is by participating in our Angel Tree. We’re happy to announce that all of our angels were adopted and each of our residents received a gift this Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Santa stopped by before his trip around the world.  He made a special delivery and presented all of our Angel’s with their gifts.

We, also, participated in two of our local parades: South Hill & Chase City. Residents & staff rode walked and rode in both parades.  Along with the parades, we took six holiday light trips. Over 50 of our residents and patients enjoyed the Christmas lights show at the Elliott Family Holiday Light Extravaganza. This was one of the highlights of our centers’ holiday!

One thing that we love about the holiday season is the number of visitors that we receive.  We had so many visitors!  Along with our resident’s families, we had visitors and volunteers from local churches, schools, organizations and local businesses who helped spread generosity and holiday cheer.

The holidays are a special time of year for all and our goal is to make it as special for our residents and patients. We would like to thank all the community for their generosity and kindness shown to our Chase City Health & Rehab family!
